If you are an amateur photographer yourself, you might want to have a look at photozone.de — a really great, privately run website with professional-grade lens tests. I am shooting with a Canon EOS 400D and an ever increasing set of lenses, among them
- My ‘workhorse’, the Tamron Di-II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3. Not a superb-quality lens, but very robust and ideal if you can only bring one lens along
- A wide-angle lens, the Sigma 10-20mm, f/4-5.6, a fantastic wide-angle lens with almost no glitches
- The Canon EF 50mm f/1.4, a very recommendable lens for fix-focus situations like portraits or still shots
- My newest addition: The Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 macro. Haven’t really tried it out yet, but the few macro test shots that I’ve taken are awesome!
